After more than a decade of experience as a structural engineer, Raj founded Green Valley Custom Builders in 2013, focusing on designing and constructing high-end luxury homes in Northern Virginia. His goal is to leverage his structural design expertise to ensure that each home he builds is not only beautifully designed and crafted but also structurally sound, considering long-term performance.
Raj completed his Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He is also the Principal of Green Valley Design Group LLC, a sister company responsible for architectural and engineering services, and holds an active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia. Raj is designated as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).

Roger has over 20 years of experience in various facets of the real estate industry. He began his career as a real estate attorney, then transitioned into high-efficiency home construction and residential investments. For the last ten years, he has focused on building and managing a portfolio of private placement investments in commercial real estate across multiple asset classes. Roger’s expertise includes entrepreneurship, real estate financing, investments, and risk analysis.
In 2024, Roger returned to George Mason University as an Adjunct Professor to teach and advise student in the program’s student-managed Patriot Real Estate Fund. He currently serves as the Advisory Board Chairperson of the Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship (CREE) at GMU’s Costello College of Business. Roger holds a Master’s Degree (MRED) in Real Estate Development from George Mason University, a law degree (JD), and a Master’s in International Development (MS) from American University.
At Green Valley, Roger is in charge of the custom home division and develops strategic partnerships with regional real estate developers.
With over 20 years of experience in accounting, Kabita has built a strong reputation in the financial sector. After nearly a decade in various accounting roles, she co-founded Green Valley Custom Builders in 2013 with her husband, Raj Tamang, to create high-end luxury homes in Northern Virginia. Over the past decade, she has successfully managed financial operations for numerous high-profile real estate and construction projects.
Kabita holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University, which enhances her expertise in financial management and strategic planning. She is also passionate about mentoring the next generation of finance professionals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

With over 25 years of experience building luxury custom homes in Northern Virginia, Fredy brings a wealth of expertise and a deep understanding of the construction industry to the table. Having grown up in a family deep rooted in construction, Fredy’s passion for building developed early, shaping his commitment to the craft. He holds an engineering degree from the University of Santiago Antunez de Mayolo, Peru, and has honed his design skills with over four years of experience at Chief Architect Academy, further expanding his knowledge base.
Fredy is dedicated to delivering excellence in every project, maintaining the highest standards of quality control, timely delivery, and cost efficiency. His collaborative approach ensures smooth coordination among all trades involved. Fredy places a strong emphasis on teamwork, recognizing that solid relationships and clear communication are essential to advancing the company’s mission of efficiency and integrity.
At Green Valley, Fredy leads the construction department, overseeing the daily operations of multiple high-end luxury home projects simultaneously. His leadership ensures that each project is delivered with precision and attention to detail. In 2024, Fredy led the construction of a 10,000 SF luxury home in McLean, VA, which won the prestigious NVBIA award for “Best Design and Architecture Detached Home” in the $3MM to $5MM category. His forward-thinking approach and commitment to innovation continue to drive Green Valley’s success in the luxury home market.
With over two decades of experience spanning the food and beverage, hospitality, staffing, and talent acquisition sectors, Gyn brings a diverse skill set to her role as Operations Manager at Green Valley. Her career began in the hospitality industry, where she developed a passion for delivering exceptional service and managing teams. Transitioning into staffing and human resources, she spent more than a decade specializing in talent acquisition and team management, helping organizations streamline their staffing processes.
Gyn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University. Her career includes significant roles such as Catering Manager at Hyatt Dulles, Senior Lead Intelligence Recruiter at Apex Systems, and Senior OCONUS HR Generalist at M.C. Dean. She has consistently demonstrated a commitment to integrity, leading teams with a focus on doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.
At Green Valley, Gyn oversees the operations department, ensuring smooth workflow among stakeholders, administrative professionals, and construction teams, while adhering to the company’s mission of efficiency and integrity. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time without compromising on quality. Gyn fosters a positive work environment where employees are valued and enjoy their work, understanding that customer satisfaction stems from a motivated and happy team. By promoting open communication and efficiency, she helps build trust with clients and ensures the company’s long-term success. She is dedicated to fostering an environment where excellence thrives, emphasizing process improvements and strong team dynamics to achieve the company’s mission of building high-quality luxury homes.
Tyler has a deep-rooted connection to the construction industry, growing up in a family of builders. His grandfather was an architect in Alexandria, VA, and his father was a general contractor in the same area for 30 years. From a young age, Tyler spent his summers working alongside his father, gaining hands-on experience. After graduating from West Potomac High School, he attended Longwood University before returning to work as a carpenter with his father for 10 years, learning project management and the complexities of the construction industry.
In 2019, Tyler transitioned to project management, earning his Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute. This certification has allowed him to build on his practical knowledge, enhancing his skills in managing construction projects efficiently.
At Green Valley, Tyler manages the day-to-day construction operations of multiple luxury home projects simultaneously, collaborating with design, purchasing, and accounting teams, as well as subcontractors and vendors. He takes pride in building beautiful homes, fostering a positive work environment, and bringing blueprints to life. Always striving to improve processes and enhance efficiency, Tyler ensures the success of each project.
With an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Virginia International University, Sonika brings eight years of experience in accounting to the table. She is presently working towards a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Washington University of Virginia. Her career has been marked by a commitment to supporting company growth through the provision of clear and reliable financial information.
Guided by the philosophy “Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life,” Sonika finds genuine joy in managing all accounting transactions and working with the team to ensure smooth operations.
At Green Valley, Sonika manages all accounting transactions and collaborates closely with company principals and project managers. She primarily oversees the accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely payments and accurate reporting for various projects. She aims to support the company’s growth by providing clear and reliable financial information.
Himal is a dedicated Structural Engineer with a passion for designing innovative and sustainable structures. With a solid foundation in Structural Engineering, earned through a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from George Mason University, Himal brings a wealth of experience to his work.
Over the past four years, Himal has honed his skills at Green Valley. His expertise extends beyond structural engineering, as evidenced by his two-year tenure as a Civil Project Engineer before landing at Green Valley. This diverse background allows him to approach challenges from a holistic perspective, ensuring that his designs are both structurally sound and functionally efficient.
Fueled by Steve Jobs’s mantra, Himal believes that passion is the cornerstone of great work. This philosophy drives him to approach each project with enthusiasm and dedication, creating structures that not only meet engineering standards but also enrich the lives of those who inhabit them. The achievements he has made have not only contributed to his professional success but have also enriched the lives of his loved ones.
Luis brings over 18 years of experience in architectural design and collaboration on residential and commercial projects, including medical facilities, schools, office buildings, and law enforcement buildings. He has worked closely with renowned regional architects and designers, gaining valuable insights into the industry.
Luis completed an architectural program at Hampton University and enjoys volunteering for community support activities organized by his church in his free time.
At Green Valley, Luis oversees the architectural design division, focusing on high-end luxury single-family residences aligned with market demands. He collaborates with developers and real estate professionals to stay informed about trends and consumer preferences. In 2024, Luis led the design of a 10,000 SF luxury home, built by Green Valley in McLean, VA, which earned the 2024 NVBIA award for “Best Design and Architecture Detached Home” in the $3MM to $5MM category.
Sandro has over 20 years of experience preparing technical drawings for building and site structures, along with a few years of experience in construction management. He is deeply passionate about his work and strives to go beyond the surface, working closely with architects and engineers to fully understand the design principles and their practical applications. Sandro believes in doing things right the first time, recognizing that mistakes made in haste or due to inattention can be costly in the long run.
He completed an Associate Degree in Architecture in Bolivia and, after moving to the United States, furthered his education by obtaining a Diploma in Architectural Design and Drafting from the Maryland Drafting Institute.
At Green Valley, Sandro is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings while collaborating closely with the architects and engineers. These drawings are crucial for the permit approval process and serve as essential blueprints for builders during construction.
