Summer Highlights in McLean

McLean, VA – June 2025

June was a month of new beginnings as Green Valley Custom Builders introduced two of our latest homes to the Northern Virginia market through a pair of Broker’s Opens in McLean. Each event offered an opportunity for brokers and agents to experience the quality and craftsmanship of a Green Valley home while enjoying an atmosphere of connection, hospitality, and music.

On June 12, we partnered with Zach Abbasi and Kesh Tayal of RE/MAX to host the Broker’s Open at 1710 Fairview Avenue. Guests toured the home’s refined living spaces while enjoying lunch and refreshments generously sponsored by US Bank and Phil Howell. A talented violinist provided a live performance that set the tone for an afternoon of conversation and collaboration, as industry professionals shared insights on buyer preferences and market trends.

Just two weeks later, on June 26, we joined Yun Heo of Giant Realty to present 6514 Byrnes Drive. This event brought together brokers, agents, and partners for another memorable afternoon, complete with live violin music. Lunch and refreshments were provided by our lending partner, The Mya Team with Intercoastal, and our title partner, Community Title Network, with a unique addition from Victor Mendes of Vienna Vintner winery, who offered tastings that complemented the home’s welcoming atmosphere.

We also captured highlights from the Byrnes event in a video now available on our YouTube channel. If you couldn’t attend or would like to relive the experience, we invite you to watch the recap and subscribe to stay connected with future Green Valley Custom Builders events, home tours, and industry updates.

Both gatherings reflected the same energy—bringing people together around outstanding homes, meaningful conversations, and shared expertise. They also underscored the collaborations and community spirit that make Northern Virginia’s real estate network thrive.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who joined us this June, from longtime colleagues to new connections. Your support made each event memorable, and together we continue to strengthen the relationships that inspire and shape the future of luxury homebuilding in Northern Virginia.

McLean Day 2025: A Celebration of Community in Lewinsville Park

McLean, VA – May 17, 2025

Green Valley Custom Builders was proud to take part in McLean Day 2025, a beloved local tradition that brings neighbors, businesses, and families together for a day of connection, entertainment, and community pride. Hosted at Lewinsville Park, this annual festival is one of McLean’s most anticipated events, offering everything from live performances and games to delicious food and family-friendly activities.

This year’s festival welcomed visitors with colorful rides, artisan booths, local business showcases, and interactive activities for all ages. Our Green Valley Custom Builders team was on site meeting residents, sharing our passion for building luxury homes in Northern Virginia, and giving out fun branded items like stress ball hard hats and tape-measure keychains. It was an opportunity to talk with families about their dream homes, answer questions about the building process, and strengthen ties within the community we serve.

The day’s energy was unmatched—kids laughing on the rides, neighbors reconnecting, and local vendors sharing their talents. For us, participating in McLean Day is about more than visibility; it’s about being an active part of the community fabric. We were able to connect face-to-face with people who share our love for McLean and Northern Virginia’s unique charm.

This March, Green Valley Custom Builders, a leader in Northern Virginia luxury home building, had the pleasure of co-hosting two unforgettable Broker’s Opens in McLean, VA—each offering its own style, atmosphere, and opportunities to connect with top real estate professionals.

On March 13, we partnered with Maria Park of Douglas Elliman Real Estate to welcome guests to 1428 Waggaman Circle in Salona Village, McLean. The afternoon buzzed with conversation as brokers and agents explored the home’s elegant, open living spaces, discussed current McLean luxury real estate market trends, and reconnected with colleagues over light refreshments.

Just twelve days later, on March 25, the momentum continued at 7400 Churchill Road in West Langley, McLean, where we joined Marianne and Will Prendergast of Washington Fine Properties. This Broker’s Open brought more than just exceptional home design—it also featured an exclusive culinary experience. Guests enjoyed a tasting prepared by celebrity chef Ryan Hackney, soon to be Executive Chef at a new local McLean restaurant opening in the former Café Oggi location. Foundations of Leadership

Fairfax, VA – March 4, 2025

At Green Valley Custom Builders, we believe that education, leadership, and industry collaboration are key pillars of long-term growth. That’s why we were proud to support George Mason University’s Annual Leadership in Real Estate Lecture on March 4 as a sponsor.

Keynote Speaker: Norman Pozez on Leadership & Success

This year’s keynote featured Norman Pozez, Chairman and CEO of Uniwest Companies, who shared insights from a remarkable career spanning brokerage, development, construction, finance, and hospitality. His story — from entrepreneur to industry leader — offered a compelling look at how resilience, adaptability, and strategic thinking drive success.

One of the standout takeaways from Mr. Pozez’s talk was the need for leaders to embrace change and innovate in the face of challenges. His message resonated with attendees at all levels, reinforcing that strong leadership is built through experience, mentorship, and lifelong learning.

Green Valley’s Presence at the Event

Green Valley Custom Builders was proudly represented by Himal, Raj, Roger, and Gyn, who enjoyed engaging with fellow attendees and discussing the evolving landscape of real estate development. The event offered a valuable platform to exchange perspectives on construction trends, investment strategies, and the future of the built environment.

A particularly meaningful moment was witnessing Roger Lin, a key member of our leadership team, serve in his role as a faculty member at GMU. Roger’s dedication to education and mentorship reflects our own values — bridging academic insight with practical experience to cultivate the next generation of real estate professionals.

A Night of Networking & Thought Leadership

In addition to the inspiring keynote, the evening provided a dynamic setting for dialogue and collaboration. Conversations spanned sectors — from commercial development to finance and investment — all underscoring the value of shared knowledge in driving industry innovation.

For our team at Green Valley, supporting this event was about more than sponsorship. It was a reaffirmation of our commitment to building not just homes, but a stronger, more connected future for our industry and our community.

Looking Ahead

Events like GMU’s Leadership in Real Estate Lecture are essential to nurturing innovation, education, and leadership across the real estate landscape.
