A Partnership with Purpose: Green Valley Custom Builders and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Team Up for Training
At Green Valley Custom Builders, we believe in making the most of every opportunity. While awaiting demo permits for a few of our properties, we saw an opportunity to give back to the community. We were honored to partner with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department by offering these homes as training grounds, allowing their teams to gain valuable, hands-on experience in real-world settings.
Training for the Future
Over several days, the fire and rescue teams utilized these homes to conduct hands-on training, enhancing their skills in real-world scenarios. From navigating through the layout of a modern home to practicing rescue operations, this training was an invaluable opportunity for the teams to prepare for emergencies in residential settings.
Lieutenant Michael Voigt of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department expressed his gratitude, stating, “Our companies were able to get a ton of great training out of both homes, and everyone I talked to wanted me to pass on their appreciation.” These training exercises are crucial in equipping first responders with the skills they need to keep our communities safe.
